I am a husband, father of 4 (2 boys and 2 girls), musician and a clinical social worker in Austin, Tx.  I have professional  experience ranging from working in emergency rooms to managing admitting departments in a psychiatric hospital.  In my counseling work I have facilitated groups for adults and families, worked with individuals and couples, and consulted with business leaders.

It’s my desire in private practice to work with families, couples, and individuals who want to see change in their lives.  It’s my commitment to partner with my clients to assist them in understanding their own desires and motivations, define new goals and commitments, and celebrate the growth they experience.

MY APPROACH

It is my belief that individuals who seek out counseling services bring both the problems and the keys to the solutions with them to their sessions.  I believe that within each of us there is a drive towards wholeness.  The path we each take to get there is as unique as we are, and the pace at which we proceed is more dependent on our own desires and commitments, than our circumstances.  A truth that I ascribe to is that insight without action is worthless. I believe that a counselor is most effective when he/she helps draw out those innate desires and commitments so that clients are free to choose, with clarity of mind and heart, the next step in their own path.
